The
Scart is the most commonly used connector on televisions, DVD players, satellite
and cable boxes. There are 21 pins on a Scart plug and they can carry composite
(lowest quality) S Video (better than composite) and RGB (best quality)
picture signals plus audio signals.
Chord Scart cables are available wired for composite, which is most commonly used for video recorders, RGB, used with satellite boxes and DVD players and finally RGB with audio. This is used with satellite boxes and DVD players when you wish to route the sound through the television, rather than through a processor or amplifier. Chord Scart cables will improve both the colour and the definition of the image. We suggest that for the best results you choose a Scart cable wired only with the cables actually needed. Generally, adding unnecessary cables to the lead reduces the performance. |
