| Music
around the home and high quality home cinema systems are growing in popularity
all the time. Ceiling and in-wall speakers are a popular way of de-cluttering
a room whilst still enjoying the thrill of multi-channel cinema systems
or your favourite piece of music wherever you are in the house. However,
just as the cables you choose for your hi-fi system will be crucial to the
enjoyment of your music, so are the cables you connect to your in-wall/ceiling
speakers. The Chord Company produces a range of dedicated installation cables
based on proven designs. |
| Chord
Leyline utilises the twisted pair, multi-strand conductor configuration
found in Chords reference speaker cables. The conductors are oxygen
free copper with a polyethylene insulation, surrounded by a strong white
PVC outer jacket. Leyline has been designed as a cost effective way to cable
the extra-long runs common in custom installations and even over lengths
of 50m or more, will produce exceptional results. |

Rumour and Chord Odyssey are also available as installation cables. The
conductors and Teflon insulation are identical to their standard counterparts
but the absence of the outer silicone jacket makes them incredibly easy
to install and hide away. |
| All
Chord installation cables are designed to be compatible with each other,
so for home cinema a combination of Rumour on the front three speakers and
Leyline for the rear is a cost effective way of getting the best from your
set-up. Bigger home cinema set-ups, or higher spec' hi-fi systems would
really benefit from using Odyssey Install speaker cable. |
| One
of the major problems with hi-fi and home cinema set-ups is that not enough
thought is given to the quality of speaker cable and the same is true for
custom installation. Fitting the best cables you can will really help to
bring your music and movies to life. |
