Chord - Conductors

There are companies that will argue fervently in favour of either multi-stranded or solid core conductors. Having experimented with many different configurations of both solid and multi-stranded conductors we feel that both are capable of a high standard of performance.
There are a couple of distinct exceptions to this. Cables we have designed to carry digital signals all use solid core conductors. There are good arguments for the use of solid core conductors to carry digital signals and our experiments confirm this.

We have also yet to produce a speaker cable using solid core conductors. When we experimented with speaker cables using solid core conductors the initial impressions were quite positive. However, when compared with multi-stranded conductors, it was noticeable that the space around individual instruments which the solid core seemed to create was at the expense of the leading and trailing edges of individual notes. This was particularly noticeable with bowed instruments.
